The current weekly import pricing system feels unfair and unintuitive.
Right now, the player places import orders before knowing the actual final purchase price.
Example:
- Sunday 20:00 is the order cutoff
- Monday 00:00 seems to be when the weekly import price changes
- Monday 08:00 is when the goods arrive and the player is charged
The problem is that the order is charged using the new week’s price, not necessarily the price visible when the order was placed.
I had a case where the Import Price Index was shown as 0.6, so I placed a large order to stock up cheaply. But when the goods arrived, the final settlement price was no longer what I expected. This makes importing feel like placing a blind order instead of making an informed business decision.
Even worse, once the real price becomes visible at Monday 00:00, it is already too late to change or cancel the order, because the cutoff has already passed. Any adjustment gets pushed to next week.
This is the main issue:
the player has to commit to a major purchase without knowing the final cost, and there is no chance to react once the real price becomes visible.
Suggested improvements:
- Lock the import price at the moment the order is placed
- Or show next week’s real import price before the Sunday cutoff
- Or allow players to modify/cancel orders until they are actually processed
Any of these would make importing feel much clearer and more strategic.
