Suggestions and Feedback for Big Ambitions (Version 0.9

I played an easy campaign in version 0.8, then a sandbox campaign on hard mode in version 0.9. I really enjoyed the game and I can’t wait for the final version to be released! I’ll be following the studio closely for future games, hoping they’ll release cooperative management games.

1. Interface & Usability

  • Add filters, tables, and statistics to better visualize the data.
  • Be able to apply filters on the map (by size, type, etc.).
  • Replace the list of businesses on the map with a table that groups all our businesses with filters and different interfaces (price, satisfaction, profitability).
  • Add a search bar to find our businesses on the map. Currently, the game needs to be reloaded to see a newly created business or a name change.
  • Allow for copy-pasting prices from one business to another. (For example: easily modify the prices for all businesses in a specific neighborhood with one action.)
  • When selecting a product’s price, display the prices offered by competitors in the neighborhood.
  • Add an in-game note-taking tool so players don’t forget tasks.
  • Remove the unnecessary queue message.
  • Allow the taxi to be directed to a custom destination: “Take me to my chosen destination.”
  • Add default schedules for each business type, so that the schedule is automatically set when opening a business.

2. Gameplay & Management

  • More precise notifications:
    • Alert when a delivery can’t be made (not enough money or space).
    • Allow certain alerts to be permanently disabled.
    • Add specific alerts: when a competitor opens/closes in a neighborhood, missing displays, missing HR for an employee, etc.
  • Customer complaints should be accessible directly through employees without needing to go to the store physically.
  • Improve the recruitment system: allow players to set competence criteria (above X %, below Y %, or within a range).
  • Provide a centralized summary of employee requests and needs.
  • Show the purchase price of products when adjusting promotions.
  • Add the ability to know the number of potential customers per day for a product in a given neighborhood (through market research or hiring a specialist).
  • Provide more details on what contributes to the interior score and security.
  • Review the delivery system:
    • Imports should arrive on Monday at 7 AM.
    • Transfers from warehouses to stores should happen at 8 AM on Mondays.
  • Add benches in all neighborhoods to allow the player to pass the time anywhere in the game.
  • Better manage customer loyalty: for example, make promotions increase word-of-mouth over time, instead of just relying on marketing.

3. AI & Competition

  • Rivals don’t progress enough, even on hard mode.
    • They stagnate or regress.
    • Their employees don’t reach 100% competence.
    • This doesn’t create enough pressure for the player.

4. Bugs & Technical Issues

  • Promotions: sometimes the bonus is 100% of marketing instead of the expected +50%.
  • Blueprints (BP): after saving a BP, some products are not selected. The BP needs to be modified and resaved for it to work.
  • Corrupted files: If a corrupted file is detected, click “ignore corrupted files,” then create a new game, save, and quit the game. After restarting and loading the previous game, the issue is resolved.
  • Performance: freezes every hour starting from day 221 (resolved after restarting the game).

5. Logic Issues

  • Why is it possible to sell expensive flowers in a bookstore? Is this intended (universal selling system) or a bug?
