I was thinking that instead of assigning employees directly to a business’ schedule, you could assign just an empty “employee slot”. After that, you would hire your employees and fill your slots with them. In this way, you could save/load these “Schedules Templates” as you seen fit.
Rather than first hire your employees in order to assign them, you would first draft your schedule and only after you are ok with it, you would hire your employees and fill your schedule’s slots (or the game could auto-assign them for you).
This image is just an example (an hypothetical store). This schedule template has 3x Cleaning Personal slots (2 part-time and 1 full-time) and 2x Customer Service slots (2 full-time). Let’s say I want to open 3 new stores like this one. I load them with this template. Then I hire 6 Cleaning part-time, 3 Cleaning full-time and 6 Customer Service full-time. I can now assign them myself to the slots or ask the game to auto-assign them. Or maybe I could just task a Headhunter to hire and assign them automaticaly.
Another benefit of a Schedule Template is that you don’t need to remember your schedules when you want to move some employees around or reassign them between your stores. This way you don’t lose your stores’ schedules, you just leave an open slot. It is specially usefull if you do not have all your work hours filled. For example, you have a store that need 2 cash registers, but from 8am to 10am you don’t have a lot of customers, so you leave only one register working.
