I like the automated scheduling system quite a bit. However, I would like to have a bit of manual input here and there for different purposes. I will give two examples after my explanation about what I mean by “Schedule Blocker”: I would like to be able to block times, during opening hours, for any station to not being filled (hence blocked for automatic scheduling).
First usage example, I have fast food restaurant with 4 cash registers. However, I only occupy three of them, since the 4th one is for my self… Ordering or do some additional work to swat time or help out on long queues.
Second usage example: I need certain ingredients in my factory, that will be produced in house (e.g. sliced onions, sliced pepper, etc.). Since I have quite a few production lines, which require these ingredients, I have those separated from the actual production line. The effect is, that these ingredients are vastly over produced and clocking up my storage. I can simply reduce production, by not occupying the input stations the whole time. This can be done manually. However, when using the automated scheduling once more, this tweaks are gone. Hence I would like to block these hours of the input station manually during production hours.
I guess, that should be easily implemented and would be very helpful, I think.
