Well, I have employees who aren’t working. I’ve tried everything. Changing the entry, changing the product type, changing the employees, and nothing. I’m on the beta version.
Pues que tengo empleados que no trabajan. probe de todo. cambiar la entrada. cambiar el tipo de producto.cambiar a los empleados y nada. estoy con la version beta
Hi ,
Complex production lines, I like them.
Based on my experience, my first suggestion is to check the employees’ way-finding paths to see if they are blocked.
Hope it can help U, thx~
I’ve already solved it. It turns out it was true that I had a pallet rack that wasn’t accessible. The strange thing is that even though they had the item they needed on the shelf next door (which was accessible), they were left waiting for the other shelf, which was farther away. I thought they would always order items by proximity, but they should order items by arrival. Thanks everyone.
I also want to share my experience from the factory, particularly the confusion around raw material distribution. each Input Station can hold a maximum of 1800 units, and since one box contains 300 units, that’s a total of 6 boxes per station.
however, when the warehouse has a limited supply for example only 3400 units of raw material, and there are 5 Input Stations, the distribution isn’t equal. Instead of dividing the materials evenly, the allocation depends on the employees. The employee who is closest to the pallet shelf tends to receive more raw material, which leads to an imbalance across the stations.
For example, if 2 of the employees working at Input Stations are positioned closer to these shelves, they tend to collect and stock more boxes than others. As a result, these stations may receive 4–5 boxes each, while the remaining stations might only get 1–2 boxes, or even none causing an uneven distribution and stop the employee works.
That makes sense, but we’ll keep that in mind when doing the factory revamp. Of course, once you order enough supplies to fill each input station, it’s no longer an issue, but I see what you’re saying with a smaller amount of inventory.
