Having a store front that sells home decorations, seasonal decorations, arts & crafts, etc. - you could also have varying materials/options for residential AND commercial. This would also allow easier integrations of new items into the core game. 
There could even be an interior designer that works with you “in-store” to decorate your new place (I know this was recently implemented though and my main goal was to have a decor store to allow more options for decorating stores and apartments.)
