Has anyone noticed that after each working day when looking at the summary of income for the fast food restaurant, you have expenditure on pizza, burgers, fries, salad? Is this the cost to run each appliance like grill, fryer, salad station or are you paying again for the stock that has already been purchased?

This confuses a lot of people. You aren’t paying for it again, but the cost must be considered in order to determine how much “profit” you made, which is why you see it listed in the breakdown.
However, the amount of money you get at the end of the day is not the same as the listed “profit” since you already paid for the items, like you said. You actually receive the correct amount at midnight.
