Currently characters can buy 10 grocery items. It would be nice if the basket could hold 20 or 30 items.

Totally agree - I also shop 20 or 30 at a time.
So I agree that a bigger basket would make sense.
how about adding a shopping cart as a buying point, people do buy a lot in a full trolley for a week of food.
