Parking into the wrong direction should be illegal, right?
Or am I wrong?

Here in the US, it depends on the city/state, but I think overall it is illegal.
But that made me realize something else - the line going down the middle of the road is white (rather than yellow). Here that would indicate a one-way road (so you could park the way you currently are). Not sure if line colors are going to be changed in the future, but I just noticed it with this screencap.

It’s not allowed in NY according to the parking rules but I wouldn’t overcomplicate the rules (and at least in Germany, where it’s not allowed as well, I have never seen any penalty for it as long as the car is parked inside the parking zone). Otherwise we would also have to think about hydrants and similar…

Good point, and personally for game enjoyment, I’d rather park “illegally” in front of a hydrant and ignore the nuance of rules. This isn’t a “traffic simulator”
