More / Better Player Jobs & Opportunities

There should be opportunities to be found everywhere in the city: On billboards, flyers, ads, job offers, newspaper, supermarket display boards, by talking to people… sometimes to make some quick cash, sometimes to help build a new or existing business.

It would be cool to be able to work at different stores, as well as the stores all giving different salaries per hour. As well as being
able to apply for a time and not be nailed down to the standard time. This would be good for example if you want to buy a pizza oven, that
is something expensive, and you are just starting out and don’t make much money, that you then work for example from 6-14 and then from 14-20 you
set up the business and then go to sleep.

Or you could gocus on your businesses so that you make over a grand a day and take out a smol loan .

Plus I assume more jobs are a nice to have in the future and is already planned out.

It would be nice to have more employment options and maybe you would actually need to get a decent job to save the money you would need to start a business. It doesn’t make sense that a bank would lend a young person without a decent job or credit history $15,000 to start a business.

I also feel like the road to your own business should be a bit longer. Just working 2 days in a supermarket to get a loan to start on your own, seems rushed. It should be more of a challenge imo.
And to make it more fun. Work could also be done by hand instead of skipping time.

Honestly, I feel the only purpose of going to the store for 2 days right now is to teach the player how the mechanics of the game work, not to actually be part of the game. In fact, the tutorial now specifically says to quit your job after those two days.

Having some higher paying options is interesting, and another angle of that is perhaps you could get “on the job training” by working at each profession that normally you would have to go to business school to learn.

It doesn’t make sense that a bank would lend a young person without a decent job or credit history $15,000 to start a business.

Simple solution for “realism” - Uncle Fred co-signs your first loan just like he helps with your apartment.

The first time you play through, I can understand feeling this (or maybe as part of the custom game mode options), but after you’re just wanting to start over and make another new empire, not so much. In fact, people are already demanding the ability to skip the opening tutorial on future playthroughs, so if the initial tutorial is going to be longer, that should wait until it can be skipped!

my idea was to start as an employe, everywhere you want. The shops has jobs, where you can applicate and work like in the one supermarket.

It has always been cool to go through the tutorial, and I have been an advocate of slowing the game down a little, so this idea of working at other jobs is good, especially if it can include DELIVERY DRIVER as that is teh best way to get to know the city. Perhaps once we get law enforcement of traffic rules into the game, this would be even more appropriate as it teaches road rules as well, rather than the Grand Theft Auto rules of the road… lol.

Check out a game called RISING STAR 2 about starting a pop group, and it incorporates many tasks like this to make cash in the early days before you get paying gigs.

BIG AMBITIONS could add some tasks like these in to earn early cash, again especially good if teh banking rules get changed to slow down the early game. As I said elsewhere, the early game pace is better these days, but good ideas could still be investigated for inclusion in future.

Indeed! Tasks and revised banking are both also on the “highly requested” list
