Finance question, possibly bug

Glad to help!

Completely agree, there! This is definitely one of the bigger/more common confusions and frustrations- especially when people think they are being doubled charged!

Hello everyone,

I played Big Ambitions several years ago and returned to it few days back. I enjoy it, but do not understand, why I am charged for the food with each sell I make, when I bought it from the wholesoter and paid for it. Here some screenshots with titles:

  1. Daily income from businesses
  1. Income from my Fast food, if you compare daily income it is equal to the Profit, but for Profit the cost of the resources is deducted from the saies which I already paid in wholestore + Salaries and rent which is okay

So it is not only informative, I am being charged twice for the resources I sell in my Fast food

Because same total amount was added to my account, so please look at this issue

Hello - it is merely informative. You are not being charged twice. If you look at your total income prior to midnight and then look again right after midnight, youā€™ll see that you didnā€™t actually receive $10.4k - that is just showing the same number as the summary!

Update with example:

This was taken right before midnight and right after. You can see that the balance went up $52,250, even though the ā€œprofitā€ is listed as $17,324.

You are right, I did thorough analysis day by day. It is not much user friendly this profit vs. real income.
I think we all would love to see real income and profit can be at the business details site.

The tricky part isā€¦any number shown would be confusing to some people.

The amount your bank changes at midnight isnā€™t actually your ā€œprofitā€ or ā€œincomeā€. So neither number would accurately show you how much your bank is changing as it includes rent, wages, and sales, but not cost of resources. However, it also includes things like Interior Installation costs. Making it trickier, things like the cost of furniture and deliveries are charged through the day when you receive them.

Example:
You spend $15k in business resources during the day
You earn $10k in business income through the day
You spend $5k in furniture
You spend $5k in midnight expenses (like interior installation fees).

Your business profit is -$5k, your income in $10k, your change in balance at midnight is $5k, but your change in balance through the day is -$15k

So thatā€™s why the number simply shows you the business health. Are your businesses earning more than they cost? The number will be positive. If they cost more than they earn, the number is negative!

Yes, let me share my experience.
I have been trying to figure out how the daily revenue of each store is calculated, but I have failed.
Taking into account a variety of factors, including wages, marketing, sales, restocking costs, and various data provided by the Bizman panel, the results are consistently inconsistent.
Hope it will be clearly in the future!
Thank you very much!

What do you mean? Wages and marketing donā€™t change unless your employees become higher skill or you change your marketing.

There are no restocking costs other than the cost of the goods. The cost of goods will change each day depending on how much things cost that day, plus how much you need.

What do you find to be inconsistent?

Hi guys, I just want to know how to calculate the ā€œAvg Daily Incomeā€. It is difficult to calculate this number from data that I can find now.

That is the average daily income of your business over the last 7 days!
