The bug is fixed already, but existing savegames will stay broken. Only way to fix it is to start a new game.
Just a small correction:
The bug is fixed, but not yet published, so you’d have to wait for the next update to make sure it won’t happen again in a new savegame.
Additionally, there’s currently a bug if you buy the same type of car twice (for example two vans) without saving/reloading in between. This will also be fixed in one of the next updates. Until then, just save and reload before buying the same car type again.
